Film Scoring
It all begins with an idea. Scoring music and sound design for a film is a fun, unique, wonderful opportunity to explore numerous kinds of musical endeavors. Whether your project requires orchestral strings, brass and voices or a modern synthesized soundscape to create a new world.
Here are two examples of Daniel’s work.
Classical. Dark. Moody. Minor. Orchestral. Piano. Strings. Brass
Electronic. Synthesizers. FX. Sound Design.
Electronic Sound Design
As a lover of real acoustic instruments, Daniel is not afraid to venture into the world of electronics and synthesizers. Experimenting and creating grooves around soundscapes that can be designed for any world a film may create. Or just put on some headphones, kick your feet up, close your eyes, and allow yourself to visit your own world and space.
The DBC - Original Music
The Danny Bastos Collective (DBC) was an homage to Daniel’s grandfather Sebastian Bastos who never had a chance to live his dream as a performing musician. The musical stylings of The DBC is a range from classic rock, jazz, world, blues and improvisational fusion music all 100% composed and arranged by Daniel Frimm (Danny Bastos). The DBC stopped performing live in 2017 but the door is always open for a return to the glory days.
Daniel composed and arranged all instruments. Mixed and recorded all songs. Edited and produced all video content.

“Music is the language of the spirit. It opens the secret of life bringing peace, abolishing strife.”
— Kahlil Gibran
